A cement mixer punched through a parking deck. The Toms River TRT responded to shore the deck prior to a crane lifting the mixer out.

Setting up your trench equipment in a maintenance pit can be a good review or introduction for some. Couple pics here.

Our test results showed that this entire shoring system catastrophically failed (with very little warning) after just a few hundred pounds of force was applied. No where near the 7680 pounds of potential force that this end wall shore was attempting to resist.

Here are some photos and a drill description from a task force (MI-TF1) exercise last week. The task was to shore a sloped (lean-to) floor. They used Paratech equipment.

If you have never had any trench or excavation training below is a list of items to review. Many may seem to commonsense, but none the less important so you don't become a victim.
