Some rivers and ponds have over a foot of ice on them in northern Ohio and many other cold weather climates. There is still some open water on Lake Erie, but ice fishermen are venturing out looking for big money walleye.

Sooner or later the weather will warm and we will be faced with the potential for risk-takers or avid outdoorsmen being stranded on ice flows and falling into the water as ice thins. Below are a couple videos to plan trainings or review your ice rescue skills.
